My Most Recent Poem

Ice Queen melting.
Queen of Hearts remembered.
So far from home, days somber,
Cool marble, frozen light ensconced in snow.
Ice Queen melting.
Rain pelts wistful lullabies,
Warm fluids of birth mock as She cracks, expanding too fast
In the warm night velvet, slapping yielding cheeks.
No caress like the bitter wind,
No solace carved in winter sky.
Ice Queen melting,
Pouring into the mold.
